Although the annual reports of major domestic optical fiber and cable companies have not yet been published, from the previous first half of the financial report data, the long-term overcapacity faced by the optical fiber and cable industry has now been alleviated. Recently, some experts have analyzed the phenomenon of "overcapacity" in the optical fiber and cable industry in 2015 and the countermeasures.
According to experts, in the past two years, the three major operators have vigorously built mobile communication networks and broadband networks, and the volume of optical fiber purchases has remained high. On the whole, demand and production are basically balanced, and the phenomenon of "overcapacity" is not obvious. However, the future situation is not optimistic. In 2015, the construction speed of 4G will slow down, and the fixed network investment of operators will be more cautious, and the amount of optical fiber purchase may decline. Once there is "overcapacity", we can only rely on these enterprises to "go out".
"Going out will be the best way to alleviate 'overcapacity, '" experts said. According to the speed of 4G construction of the three major operators, especially China Mobile's 4G network construction plan, 2015 is likely to be the last year of its 4G large-scale construction, but the domestic optical fiber and cable production capacity continues to expand. It is understood that in 2015, the domestic optical fiber production is expected to reach 0.24 billion core kilometers, while the demand is only 0.15 billion core kilometers. The problem of "overcapacity" is prominent, and it is inevitable for domestic optical fiber and cable enterprises to go overseas.
